These paddles are great. I’m an intermediate swimmer, non-competitive, and found these paddles very smooth. I thought I might be frustrated all information about these paddles emphasized they would fall off if stroke was incorrect. They stayed on, and I didn’t even feel the pinch at my thumb some complained about. I have very small hands and found size S a perfect fit.

If I don’t perform my stroke well when using these paddles, the stroke simply put, does not feel comfortable.
When I do the stroke correctly when using the paddles, I feel very comfortable and glide very smoothly through the water and feel great.
I highly recommend these paddles, they will take about 200m to get used to and then your stroke and body position start to realign. Great paddles

Best paddles out there. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable and easy to use/put on quickly. Offers the right amount of resistance during a pull set and they are very durable, great value for the money.

I used these to train for the first time. I wasn’t sure how one hole for the thumb would hold his paddle while swimming, but it made sense once I started swimming. I love how much faster I can swim and I can learn the correct form with these paddles.

    – Work much better than I anticipated.
These were recommended to me my swim coach and friend. I was hesitant because I was using paddles with those rubber bands around the wrist or finger or both. These are supposed to help your stroke by coming off if your stoke form isn’t correct. Found out my stroke form is pretty darn good and they don’t come off but they still provide me a bit of strength workout still and they don’t sink if they fall in the pool.

    – My FAVORITE new paddles!!!!
I have 4 different types of paddles in my swim bag now. These are by far my favorite for everything. Think of them like the tradition paddle without finger bungies. Your hand entry needs to be accurate to keep the paddle from separating from the hand. I actually purchased these in a small and medium to try both. The small technically fits my hand better (very narrow hands), but I prefer the medium. The slightly wider paddle gives me more strength training (as a traditional paddle does). Honestly they are just the best for everyday drill work!

    – Swim lessons

It helps. I use it for swim class and it’s great with helping with technique and understanding pulling in the water.

    – Great tool

Great Training Tool – If You Have the Right Technique
I’ve had a pair of these paddles for years. I swim at least a mile a day, and they’ve been a huge help in improving my stroke and efficiency. A few key things to know:

No straps – which is great because there’s nothing to break or adjust.
But with that comes zero forgiveness. If you’re not pulling straight back with a high elbow, these will fall off—and you’ll hate them.
If your stroke involves waving your hand under you or pulling with a straight arm, these can actually lead to injury. So make sure your technique is solid before using them.
Here’s my suggestion: Start by swimming without paddles, using a closed fist drill. With proper form—a high elbow and early catch—you should be able to swim at about ¾ speed, even with your fists closed. Focus on using your entire forearm as a paddle. Your fingers should point down toward the pool bottom, and your hands should never cross your centerline.

Once that feels solid, add the paddles. Swim slowly at first. Keep your arm bent right after you extend it in front of you. Watch your bubbles—if you’re entering the water cleanly, you shouldn’t see any around your hand.

I swim hard and fast with these (I’m a 62-year-old male, swimming 1:40/100M) and I’ve never had shoulder pain. My chest and back feel the work, but not my shoulders—which tells me these are doing their job without stressing the wrong muscles.

If you know how to swim with a high elbow and solid form, these paddles are fantastic. If they keep falling off, that’s your stroke talking. Slow it down, focus on form, and use them to reinforce good technique.

When you first go to use these do not put your thumb through the hole. Instead, make a fist and put the paddle up against your wrist, so your fingertips are just wrapped around the edge of it. You’re basically making your arm into a paddle. When you stroke work on your entry, extending your hand away in front of you. An early vertical forearm. And then the catch. It’ll feel strange at first. You should feel pressure on your wrist and forearm. As you get your stroke better then eventually you can put your thumb in the hole and wear it properly. But if your stroke is not proper, it is not forgiving.

    – One shouldn’t love a paddle as much as I love these!

I feel like I’ve tried every other style of paddle on the market and all have struck me as being flawed in that they will amplify bad form to the point of injury in very short order. After mentioning this to my coach he recommended I give these a shot and I glad that I did. Other paddles are strapped to your hand which means that you have to be extra vigilant with hand position and stroke or you can risk injury to your shoulders or elbows. With the Agility paddles the only thing holding them on is the thumb hole and the resistance of the water. That combined with the shape of the paddle means that they will fall off if you aren’t swimming with correct form. This is a great training aid that is well-designed, comfortable, and works exactly as intended. I find swimming with these to be a joy and actually look forward to my pull sets. The best part is that this has to be one of the best bang for your buck training aids available. I liked them so much that my wife got a pair for herself as well.

    – Floatability is important feature in this design.

The new feature of “floatability” is a great improvement. My original purchase was in 2017. At that time, I liked them in all the ways described in the product description. My one complaint was that their only attachment to the swimmer was through the the combination of your hand grip on one side balanced on the other side by water pressure. Unless used correctly, a paddle can fall off your hand and sink to the bottom of the pool. Then you would need to dive down to the bottom to fish it out. (or ask for help, which could be embarrassing). The new version of the paddles floats, so you can easily find and retrieve them.
You listened to your customers and fixed the problem… 5 stars from me.
