Made from a strong, yet lightweight material, the FINIS Thermal Swim Shirt Youth conforms to a swimmer’s upper body without restricting range of motion. Used over time, the slight drag effect of the Thermal Swim Shirt will also build endurance and strength. The Nobel Prize-winning Polyolefin fibers provide UVA, UVB and Antibacterial protection, and is chlorine and fade resistant.

– Great Thermal Shirt
It is very hard to find a thermal shirt, mostly the only thing you can find to keep warm in the water is a full wet suit which is too constricting for swim team practice. My son is 6 and very thin and small but this fits him snugly as desired, and keeps him warmer when he practices. The shirt is soft inside, like a sweatshirt, and he loves that. The shirt is long and he tucks it into his jammers, which is good because it doesn’t ride up when doing free or fly. Someone had written in a review that her shirt fell apart??? Our shirt is still perfect after 5 practices a week for a month. As with swim wear you cannot wash them in a washing machine our they will get destroyed. I have hand washed with soap specifically designed for swim wear and it is just fine. Overall the shirt is great and we plan on using it for his ocean rough water swim where the water will be even colder!

– Keeps granddaughter warm, is comfortable, and looks cool
Granddaughter gets cold in the surf, so wanted something to help her stay warm in the ocean. Where we are, temps range from upper 60s to low 70s so can be chilly in a breeze. This shirt is fuzzy on the inside and acts like a windshirt on the outside. It keeps her warm in the water. She takes it off when she gets out, and we wring it out, spread it out on a boogie board, and it dries fairly quickly. Also, it looks more like a wet suit top, and holds its shape when wet. It also acts like a rash guard for boogie boarding. She could last all day with this shirt. She is also fussy about how clothes feel – won’t wear anything that isn’t comfortable. Tried a shortsleeved wetsuit first, and she hated the way that “felt”. Loves this shirt, though. Held up well, will be great hand me down, too. Great solution for kids!
