I wanted to thank you for bringing the Finis Snorkel to market. I was born without the first cervical vertebrae in my neck. I have a had a stiff neck my whole life and have grown use to it as a way of life. I have always been active including swimming but it was always a chore to time my breathing in between strokes. Turning my head in and out of the water was not helping me enjoy the benefits of swimming. When I found your product I decided to give it a try. This absolutely changed everything!. With my head in the water the entire time, my breathing improved increasing my endurance and I could concentrate on my rhythm and stroke efficiency. This product is allowing me fully experience the benefits of swimming without having a pain or strain on my neck. Now I can’t wait to get back in the pool. Thank You So Much for this product!

This product is so valuable for body and head alignment. It allows the swimmers to focus on their technique work, kicking, with correct body alignment, while building up the lung capacity. All my swimmers are currently using the snorkel on a daily basis for freestyle, breaststroke and butterfly training. I have also recommend lap swimmers and elderly lap swimmers at our pool to use the snorkel. It has allowed the elderly swimmers especially to exercise comfortably. In the past they had poor habits or injuries that made workout uncomfortable. Now they are able to swim longer and pain free by using the snorkel. Best product for all ages and ability levels!!

    – Comfortable and Helpful to Improve Swimming Technique

Using this snorkel helps me concentrate on my arm and body movements rather than breathing. It’s lightweight and more comfortable than a side snorkel and a mask. A side benefit is that by keeping your head down and not having to turn your head to breathe, it is easier to ignore people swimming or walking in nearby lanes.
It took a few minutes to remember not to breathe through your nose underwater! Also, I found I get thirsty breathing through the snorkel for long periods (20 minutes or so), so I keep a water bottle on the side of the pool.

    – A great training aid.

Like all pool training aids, should be used not full-time, but it’s part of your exercise. I truly enjoy the snorkel, as I’m able to concentrate on my stroke, which includes a early vertical forearm and a high elbow. I can concentrate on my glide with my hand in front of me and then the early vertical forearm and the catch pulling back. I also do flip turns with the snorkel.

I’m a master scuba diving instructor, and the snorkels is a part of my body. When using the snorkel, try to concentrate on how few breaths you can take to get from One in the pool to the other. Time, your breathing with when you would actually breathe if you weren’t using the snorkel. If you’re gonna do flip turns. You want to use your tongue as another valve. I stick my tongue in the hole between my teeth and then when I exhale hard and sharp to make sure there’s no water in the snorkel. If you’re doing a flip turn. Take a deep breath, tuck your chin, exhale slowly, and continuously through your nose. Once you’re facing down just before you surface exhale through your snorkel. You want to clear the snorkel before it breaks the surface I know it sounds crazy, but it will clear much easier. Take a cautious inhale to make sure that you’ve got all the water out. If you don’t breathe softly until you have enough air again to exhale sharply. It’s a great training aid.

You can also use it to Swim fast and hard to increase your pace, but not have to worry about breathing. Just be sure to use it as a tool and not full-time
