    – A great addition to your freestyle swimming workout.
I bought these paddles in hopes to improve my freestyle technique and well as to add a bit of resistance, even though they are designed for technique only. Well these are great for your form, but they are also great as an intro to added resistance. If you are considering paddles for added resistance, I would recommend these first to insure your form is sound. The learning curve is quick, perhaps a workout or two, but I would also recommend integrating them slowly into your routine, as you may experience soreness, especially in your forearms. Although the products claims that you should use them with caution, especially if you have shoulder pain, I think that they are a great addition if your workouts have been going well.

Oh…and if you are concerned because you don’t flip turn, don’t worry; it only takes a lap or two to get used to having these on your hands.

I swim 45 days a week, and I will often put on my Freestyler Paddles before I get into my main set, to remind myself what direction my hands should be moving. They are fun to use, easy on the body and help you really concentrate on what you are doing with your freestyle.

    – Really helps swimming form
After a few laps, I could tell these were helping my stroke. The paddles will catch in the water if your stroke is off. Helps with follow through on the stroke. I use them for about 4 laps, take them off, then swim laps. I can tell my stroke is much better. These will help develop muscle memory. The rubber finger loop was a bit uncomfortable at first, but I’ll get used to it quickly. These paddles will be part of my swimming routine.

    by GEB:

These paddles are great for kids who tend to slip in on their freestyle. It helps them feel fingertips down and lets them know when they are losing that position. The first step to correction is identifying the feel of the error. The Freestyler Paddle helps the swimmer both feel the error and feel doing it right.

This is, by far, my favorite paddle. I am a fan of paddles with single finger straps that force you to pull in a proper pattern vs. forcing your hand through the water in random directions; the Freestyler is both a single finger paddle and guides you through a proper pulling pattern.

    Well I’ll be dang’d

After a short stint off of swimming I went back in and decided to give these a try. WOW! The instant feedback on these bad boys is no joke! I immediately felt where I was going wrong and it has made my non paddle laps faster! Thanks Finis, these kick butt!
