CARE INSTRUCTIONS
– Rinse your goggles and Smart Coach in cool non-chlorinated water after each use
- We recommend removing the Smart Coach module from the goggle and rinsing each separately to ensure both are free of chemicals and debris.
- Please avoid any contact with the inner lens to ensure the integrity of the anti-fog.
– Drying your goggles
- Air dry goggles completely before inserting the Smart Coach back into position.
- Pat dry the Smart Coach with a soft dry cloth.
– Storing your goggles
- Please store your Smart Goggle in a cool dry environment.
- Do not place wet goggles inside the protective caring case.
– Charging
- Do NOT charge your Smart Coach while the device is still wet.
– To avoid corrosion
- Once a month, clean the metal connectors on the Smart Coach with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth or cotton swab.

As a long distance marathon swimmer I find the Finis Smart Goggle to be an excellent training tool. The fit can be adjusted quickly with snap in nose pieces. The cups provide a water tight seal. The micro computer operates easily with one button push on and off. The lap and time auto start and finish are accurate and convenient. No button pushing except to start and finish the workout. The lap count and elapsed time displayed on the screen help make keeping track of laps and time during a long set a breeze. Helps me know when to push or back off depending on the objective of the workout. After a swim the workout data transfers seamlessly to the app on my phone. The most useful features of these goggles for me are no button pushing during the workout and instant feedback during swim sets. These goggles well engineered and Finis quality!

I am a full time swim coach with 28 years of experience at every level, including Olympic Trials. My athletes train with the Finis Smart Goggle and we love it! It keeps track of the swimmer’s laps, and most importantly the individual lap splits and running time of every swim within a set. The goggle display shows the swimmer how fast they are going, giving crucial feedback on speed and pacing. If we want to swim a 200 or 500 and even or negative split, this provides instant feedback. If we are sprinting a 75, they can see each 25 as they race.
The swimmer can make effort and race pattern adjustments to go faster and achieve goal pace in real time. This improves focus, training, pacing and fitness. Instead of waiting to get the time after a swim, the swimmer knows as it’s happening.
Also for large training groups of swimmers, now they don’t have to rely on the coach to get their splits. They know them already. For the coach, we can never get all the swimmers splits at once, so now the swimmers can ALL get their times and splits ON EVERY REPEAT within each set The software records the training data from each practice onto the app, where both the athlete and the coach can access it and track it for improvements.

At first I found the readout a bit distracting, but that’s due to the fact that I was just staring at the numbers. Eventually I was able to stop staring, but would worry about someone who is hyper obsessed with time. As a swimmer for over 30 years I found the goggles to be comfortable, easy to adjust and the variety of nose pieces allows for different sized faces. The goggles were very easy to assemble and the set up process for the app was very straight forward they synched up right away.
The Ciye app offers a ton of great data to analyze your swim similar to what you can pull off your Garmin for a run or ride. As a swim coach I will definitely use these with some of our athletes and as a triathlete I look forward to testing these out in open water. This was my first smart goggle experience and I was very impressed with the quality of the goggle and the data provided. I look forward to continued usage.
